4 Day Bwindi Gorilla Trek & Lake Bunyonyi

This 4 Day Gorilla Safari starts and ends in Uganda. It includes a visit to Uganda’s famously known Bwinid Impenetrable National Park plus Lake Bunyonyi famous for its thrilling boat ride to the dotted islands and a little bit of bird watching.

Activities to do on this trip in Uganda include the mostly wanted Mountain Gorilla trekking, Batwa community visit and boat ride along the waters of Lake Bunyonyi. Meeting face to face with Gorillas in the Jungles is a lifetime encounter to remember.

Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Bwindi

Early in the morning after breakfast, start the journey with our guide towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the South Western part of Uganda. Stop over at the equator is included for some brief explanation about it, photographs, coffee and snacks.

After continue with the journey for another stopover in Mbarara to have lunch. The journey rewards fantastic views of rolling hills of Kigezi region and you will arrive in the evening.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast in the morning at the lodge transfer to Park offices or starting point for a briefing conducted before start of the journey, to highlight trekkers on how to behave while in jungle and in presence of these apes.

After groups divided into eight people will be assigned to park rangers for the journey to the jungle following the permanently established routes in search of these apes.

After locating them you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them.

After return to the Park offices for certificate award, then to the lodge for relaxing as you prepare for evening visit to Batwa communities.

Later in evening take a walk visiting Batwa communities for some cultural encounters from Batwa people which include traditional dances, singing and more.

Day 3: Bwindi – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Early in the morning after breakfast check out for the breathtaking journey to Lake Bunyonyi “Switzerland of Africa” popularly known for the eye catching sceneries including waters, hills, forests, dotted islands and more.

On arrival you can opt for a boat ride along the waters of the lake visiting its beautiful dotted islands or nature walk around the area. In the evening check in at the lodge for chilling, dinner and overnight stay. Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi – Drive back to Kampala/ Entebbe

After your breakfast in the morning, check out for the exciting journey back to Kampala. En route stopover is included in Mbarara town for lunch and after continue to Kampala.

Our driver will drop you at the Hotel if you are to stay for the night or at Entebbe international airport for your return flight back home.
