3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla Trek

Enjoy our three day Gorilla trekking taking you to the great Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in the South Western part of Uganda along Uganda’s border with Democratic Republic of Congo letting you meet with the shy endangered ground dwelling herbivores Mountain Gorillas in the Jungles.

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be picked by our Safari guide and transfer you from airport up to your booked hotel of residence either in Entebbe or Kampala city.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga

Early in the morning have breakfast and embark the Safari jeep for an exciting journey from Kampala to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in the South western part of Uganda via Kampala- Masaka- Mbarara highway including en route stop over at the equator before reaching Masaka town for brief explanation, photos and snacks.

After continue with the journey for another stopover in Mbarara for lunch, after lunch of course you will continue with the Journey up to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Dinner and Overnight at Mgahinga Safari Lodge or Travellers’ Rest.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga.

Early in the morning have your delicious breakfast and after transfer up to the Park offices or starting point in Mgahinga for the short briefing which is conducted to highlight trekkers on what to do and what not to do while in the Jungle and in presence of Mountain Gorillas.

After briefing trekkers are grouped into groups of eight people per group and each group assigned a gorilla family, park ranger guide and armed officers to start the journey to the Jungle in search of the shy endangered ground dwelling Mountain Gorillas.

After locating Mountain Gorillas in the Jungle you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them, after one hour session next step is vacating the place back to Park offices or starting point for Gorilla trekking certificate award.

It’s advised that when heading for the Gorilla trek you come along with your packed food from your lodge for eating while in the Jungle since most of the times lunch reaches when trekkers are still in the Jungle.

After Gorilla trek return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mgahinga Safari Lodge or Kisoro Travellers Hotel.

Day 3: Depart Back to Kampala for Return flight

Early in the morning have your breakfast at the lodge as you get prepared for your exciting journey back to Kampala, later check out at the lodge and start the exciting journey back to Kampala including the en route stopover in Mbarara town for Lunch.

After lunch continue with the journey back to Kampala, if you have a return flight on this same day you will be driven straight to Entebbe airport for your return flight back home. End of Service.
