This Seven day excursion starts in Entebbe and ends in Entebbe, on this Safari you will visit the three National Parks in the Western wing of Uganda including Semliki National Park, Kibale Forest National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Exposing you to different Wildlife species including Wild animals, Primates, Reptiles, different insect species, plant life plus wide range of different bird species including water bird and Forest bird species.
Upon arrival you will be picked by our Safari guide who will transfer you up to your hotel of residence for relaxation after a long flight schedule.
Day 1: Kampala – Semliki National Park
Early in the morning have your breakfast and after embark the Safari jeep to start your exciting Journey from Kampala to the exciting Semliki National Park in the Western Uganda via Kampala-Mityana-Mubende- Fort portal highway, this park is geographically located in Bundibugyo district on western Uganda’s border with Democratic Republic of Congo next to Lake Albert.
Semliki National Park has a strategic location in the western Albertine rift valley region of Uganda taking up the eastern part of Ituri forest which joins Uganda and Congo River which is separated by the Semliki River.
Semliki National Park is recorded with over 400 bird species with most percentage being forest birds, 300 tree species, and 53 mammals including the eleven diurnal species. Reaching Semliki National Park check in at the lodge for relaxation. Accommodation option includes Semliki Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Visit “Sempaya hot springs”
Early in the morning have breakfast and go for a visit to the Sempaya hot springs which include the male and female hot springs which are characterised with hot flowing water which can be even be used to cook unboiled eggs and Bananas.
Along this same trail to Sempaya hot springs you are exposed to a number of bird species like blue breasted kingfisher and Frasier’s ant-thrush and some primates like red-tailed monkey, grey-checked Mangabey and more.
After the hot springs continue to Mungilo waterfall to check out more other interesting bird species which are stunning mostly to birders. After return to the lodge for relaxation as you get prepared for the exciting boat trip on Lake Albert. After return to Semliki Safari Lodge for overnight. Meal Plan: Full board.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After your breakfast in the morning at the lodge check out and transfer to Fort portal town for a visit to the King’s Palace, Crater lakes and after transfer for check in at the lodge within or near Kibale Forest National Park for your lunch and relaxation, Later on you will have a guided nature walk through Bigodi Wetland exposing you to different Wildlife Species including different Bird species, this Swamp is mostly liked by birds and its recommended to birders as a good site for bird watching.
Some of the mostly sighted bird species include Papyrus Gonolek, Blue Turaco and more, other sighted species include Butterflies, Mantis and more.
After breakfast transfer to Fort Portal and visit the King’s Palace, the stalagmites and crater lakes. In the afternoon retire to your lodge for lunch and later go for a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders. Dinner and sleep at Kyaninga Lodge, Primates Lodge, Ndali Lodge or Chimps Nest Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale
Early in the morning have breakfast and after transfer to Kanyanchu Wildlife Centre for the short briefing about Chimpanzee tracking highlighting trackers on what to do and what not to do while in the Jungle, after the Journey to the Jungle is started in search of these Chimpanzee primates, Chimpanzee tracking usually last for about 4-5 hours.
Chimpanzee tracking is done in sessions including morning session, afternoon session and evening session, usually while on chimpanzee tracking you are exposed to other Wildlife species including grey checked Mangabey, red Colobus, golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black Colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, Patas monkey and more.
After Chimpanzee tracking return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch, if you did a morning session later in the evening you can go for another guided nature walk exposing you to other Wildlife species.
After return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight stay. Dinner and sleep at Kyaninga Lodge, Primates Lodge, Ndali Lodge or Chimps Nest Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 5: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast check out at the lodge for an exciting journey from Kibale Forest National Park to the amazing Queen Elizabeth National Park which is popularly known for its famous tree climbing lions which are sighted in the Southern Ishasha sector resting up in the fig tree branches.
Reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park, check in at the lodge for your lunch and relaxation as you get prepared for the evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains exposing you to different Wildlife Species including Wild animals like Elephants, Buffaloes and more. Accommodation options include Mweya Safari Lodge, Simba Safari Lodge or Mweya Hostels. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive & Launch Cruise along Kazinga Channel
Early in the morning after your exciting breakfast, embark the pop up Safari Jeep for a morning game drive to catch the early risers rushing in for feeding pastures, this grants you chances of sighting different Wildlife Species including Buffaloes, Elephants, Kobs, Hartebeests, Spotted hyenas, Bush bucks and more.
Continue to the Southern Ishasha sector for sighting of the famous Tree climbing lions resting up in the fig tree branches, after return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you get prepared for the afternoon launch trip cruise along the Kazinga Channel.
While on Launch trip cruise you are exposed to different aquatic Species including Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Water bird species and other Wild animals which access the shores in need of Water. After return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight Stay.
Day 7: Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge – Transfer to Kampala
Early in the morning have your breakfast and go for the optional chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura gorge, since you already done Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale you can decide to leave this Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge and do another morning game drive as you leave the Park exposing you to some of different Wildlife species you missed out.
Later on continue with your exciting Journey back to Kampala including en route stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and after continue with your journey to Kampala for your return flight back home or you can check in at the hotel for overnight stay. End of the Safari
