5 Days Gorillas Rwanda & Uganda

On this five day combined Safari vacation in Rwanda and Uganda you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Volcanoes National Park for the shy endangered ground dwelling herbivores Mountain Gorillas.

Upon arrival our driver will pick you from Entebbe airport and transfer up to your selected hotel of stay for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe – drive to Bwindi.

Early in the morning after breakfast our driver will pick you from hotel and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in western Uganda, including a stopover at the Equator for brief information about it, photographs and snacks.

Continue with the journey and lunch is provided en route in Mbarara town at Agip hotel later continue with your journey to the Park. You will reach Bwindi in the evening and upon arrival, check in for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Banda’s, Mahogany springs/or Engagi Lodge.

Day 2: Uganda Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast early in the morning transfer to the starting point for the Gorilla trek briefing which is made by wardens highlighting trekkers on how to behave in the jungle and while in presence of these apes.

Depending on where these mountain gorillas spent last night, gorilla trekking usually takes between 2 to 8 hours. However a face to face session with these friendly apes will be so exciting and fantastic.

After locating these apes in the Jungles you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos of these apes.

After one hour meeting with them, you will return back to your lodge for relaxation, refreshments, dinner and overnight stay as listed above.

Day 3: Drive – Transfer to Rwanda

After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred by our guide to Rwanda crossing borders. On arrival at the border, you will clear with the immigration presenting required documents and after enter Rwanda driving to Ruhengeri for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla view lodge, Kinigi Guest House or Laplame Hotel.

Day 4: Rwanda gorilla trek in Volcanoes

Have breakfast early morning before you transfer to Volcanoes national park Rwanda offices in Kinigi or starting point for a gorilla trek registration and briefing about how to behave in the Jungle.

After briefing and assigning of park rangers, you will set off and enter the Virunga forest for the gorilla trekking excursion. Usually time taken to search for these rare Mountain Gorillas depends on where these apes spent their last night, its sometimes unpredictable of their natural habitat.

After locating them you will only be allowed to spend with them one hour and later you will return back for Gorilla trekking certificate award.

From Park offices return back to the lodge for lunch and if time is sufficient, you will visit the popularly known gorgeous Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. After return back to the lodge for refreshments, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Drive back to Kigali airport for your Return flight/ overnight stay in Kigali.

After a morning breakfast at the lodge check out for the amazing journey back to Kigali including City tour visiting genocide memorials, cultural sites, craft markets and later drive to Kigali airport for your return flight back home or if not you check in at the hotel in Kigali for overnight stay.
